Drum lessons

We strive to help students set and achieve goals, thereby enabling them to experience the joy of drumming.

Lessons are taught by our instructors based on a unique set of step-by-step teaching materials. Our music tutors are experienced and are keen to provide guidance to ensure students progress swiftly and easily.

Trial lessons $200 (1 hour)

We offer trial lessons at $200/hour.  The trial lesson fee will be waived if you sign up and pay in advance for at least 4 lessons at the trial lesson.

Limited to one trial lesson per person.

Group of 2

One-hour group sessions with two people - you will need to form your own group

Beginner

$910per person / 4 lessons

1 hour

  • Rockschool / Trinity Grade 1-3
  • Time Signature 4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 12/8
  • Rudiment training
  • Shuffle groove in 4/4
  • Basic rhythm training
  • Basic fill-in training

Intermediate

$1050per person / 4 lessons

1 hour

  • Rockschool / Trinity Grade4-5
  • Time Signature 5/4, 7/4
  • Advanced rudiment training
  • Half time shuffle groove in 4/4
  • Improvisation training
  • 32nd note, 16th triplet, application in fills

Group of 3

One or two-hour group sessions with three people - you will need to form your own group

Notes:

  1. Students are expected to attend class every week, generally on the same day of the week at the same time. 
  2. Tuition fees are payable in 4-lesson blocks at least 7 days before the first lesson of the relevant block. Each lesson must be completed within 4 weeks from the date of the previous lesson. Otherwise, the lesson will be deemed taken and no refund/make-up class will be available. 
  3. No leave requests will be accepted for group lessons. If one student is unable to attend, the lesson will continue as usual and other students will be expected to attend the lesson.
  4. For private one-on-one lessons, if a student would like to change the date/time of a lesson (except for sickness), Music Path must be notified at least twenty-four hours in advance. If the change request is due to sickness, Music Path must be notified at least two hours in advance. All make-up lessons must be taken at a time to be agreed with the instructor based on his/her availability. In any event, postponed classes must be made up within 2 weeks from the original date. For every 4-lesson block, only 1 change/postponement request will be accepted.  No change requests will be accepted for make-up lessons.
  5. When Black Rainstorm Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above is hoisted, all lessons will be suspended. Lessons which are scheduled to take place within 2 hours from the time such warnings are cancelled will be suspended.
